    Strings magazine

I remember when I was in high school, and my sister bought me my first issue of Strings. It had Joshua Bell on the cover. She had just left it on the kitchen table, and that picture of Joshua Bell immediately called to my attention. I sat there and read the entire article about him, and then I put the magazine down. Not really interested in the rest of it, I forgot about it for a couple days, then my sister asked if I liked the magazine, and I told her I loved the article about Joshua Bell. (For those of you who don't know, Joshua Bell and I went to the same music school, and I would really like to be in his shoes one day.)
    Anyway, I decided to read...

Appeals to many types of music lovers

I have been subscribing to "Strings" for several years and enjoy the magazine. This last issue had a section on cajun music as well as an article featuring Joshua Bell, a world-class violinist who is teaming up with MIT to develop a series of high-tech instruments and musical toys designed to stiumlate children's interest in music.

There are usually a few pages of music (for violin) and reviews of books, music, bows, violins, etc.

There have been a few issues that did not appeal to my interests. That is the reason for 4 stars.
