Reviews For Slam Magazine

S-L-A-M !!!

This mag is for all of the ballers. If you are serious about basketball and making it to the league, this is your magazine. The Slam magazine is packed with tight photos and informative articles. This magazine also showcases some of the up and coming basketball stars in the nation as well as some of the stars in the NBA. I mean, Slam has information on all of the professional leagues not just the NBA and has all of the in-depth information a real baller is lookin' for.
This magazine is perfect I can't think of anything wrong with this magazine. The articles, photos, players, people, everything is incredible about it. You gotta love this magazine. SLAM.

slam is the most amount of pure basketball that any magazine will give you

this magazine is great for many reasons but also has its downside. the good things are that it has interesting information that you had never heard of or could never guess. it also has great pictures and for the most part the information is new and accurate. it is pure basketball and does a good job of capturing the whole culture but many people may be affended by some of the language and also there tends to be a fair amount of adds so there could be a little better in the sense that there deffinately is more room for a few more articles. it also tells it like it is rather then how people want to hear it so not only the big names get articles or you dont just hear about the stars. you hear about who ever is good and that is the way that i should be so its overall good

Simply Ghetto or Simply Vulgar??

SLAM magazine sure is something else. But the question is something else of what??? If you take an average Wisconsin farm boy and put a copy of Slam in their hands, it would be the equivalent of giving an average eight year old a copy of "Hamlet" and asking him to interpret. So is "Slam" simply ghetto or simply vulgar you may ask, and my answer is BOTH. Slam does and accomplishes what most magazines want, an appeal to the teenage generation.
For those of you who don't know much about SLAM, I'll try my best to explain. IT contains some of the most amazing photography that even Sports Illustrated can't compare to thrown in with a rated R script. Some of the writing is truly marvelous and quite in depth, but the reader- write-in section ironically called " Trash Talk" breaks just about every one of the Ten Commandments.
To decide if Slam is for you, ask yourself what means more, morals or entertainment.

gyp...

I have subscribed to Slam for three years in a row and I have finally woke up. This magazine is such a imitator of sports illustrated. Article formats or profiles are almost identical to those found in sports illustrated three to six months before Slam's release. Although slam features comparisons with detailed statistics, the magazine never quotes authenticity. I must also admit that I started my prescription for 27.99 per year (which is about 8 bucks over the price now). But I definitely don't look forward to any further purchases whether retail or subscription. This magazine is somewhat too concise, and lacks originality. Hope they can bring some promising future in years to come.

Good Magazine

I recently subscribed to Slam Magazine and I'm glad I did. It features many basketball players in the magazine. It tells about how they got to where there at and has a question answer part with many athletes. Not only do they just focused on pro athletes but also on high school and college kids. There is a page or two with trash talk and sometimes it can be fun too read. They also have advertising for cool shoes and different products. One thing that I don't like is how they are too ghetto. Seriously, not every who reads this magazine is from the ghetto.

SLAM THE UGLY SIDE OF BASKETBALL

Okay I have to admit this magazine really doesn't appeal to me.It has lots of good information, but its not properly used.A basketball magazine should discus curtain issues that go on in basketball everyday. It should not focus on just the good side of basketball, but it should also focus on some of the negative things that go on in basketball today.Maybe I am just being hard,or maybe I a really write about this.Think about what I am saying to you and then you might understand were I am going with this.So I don't recommend this magazine for the simple fact that it isn't well organized information.
